Rockets Still Rising, Beat Lakers For 22nd Straight W

i'm sorry rockets fans for saying that the houston ballclub will fall to the nuggets. well, obviously, they survived that game and a lot more to continue their hot streak which now stands at 22 after soundly beating the El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de los Angeles de Porciuncula Lakers.

the rockets now won 26 of their last 27 games and 31 of their last 34. They have won 15 consecutive games at the Toyota Center, 10 in a row since Yao went out with a broken foot and 11 of their last 13 games by double digits. the lakers though are without center pau gasol. but then again, who would use that excuse knowing that the rockets are also without all-star center yao ming? oh, i forgot, a lot of people are still not sold on the rocket's meteoric rise in the west.

but kobe bryant a.k.a. black mamba, knows that the rockets are a special team for having won those 20+ wins. "People who say that are the same people who said me scoring 81 was nothing because we played against the Toronto Raptors. It has to have meaning. Every team in the NBA is a tough team. Any time you beat an NBA team or you go on a 21-game winning streak, that's absolutely amazing."

the rockets won the game with t-mac only scoring 11 points. but rafer alston scored 31 with eight three-pointers. great shooting night eh? the classy battier scored 14, recent acquisition bobby jackson scored 19 and luis scola scored 13 and grabbed 11 rebounds.

so, the rockets are now on top of the west. how far would the streak go? i won't answer that anymore. LOL.

kevin durant is rookie of the year

last year's draft saw the portland trailblazers picking up greg oden with their first pick. then, seattle went with kevin durant and durant would go on to become this season's rookie of the year (uhm, rookie of what year exactly? shouldn't it be called the rookie of the season or something? hehehe). the university of texas standout, a 6'9" swingman with a wingspan of almost 7'5" led all rookies in scoring with 20.3 per contest. i must admit that i was more interested in oden as i was wondering how he (oden) will be able to match up with the league's premier big men. but durant showed that at his young age, he can ball with the best in the nba. i also admire the kid's professionalism, his dedication to his craft. in the first months of this season, he kept shooting threes which really hurt his shooting percentage. but he soon learned that it would be easier to make shots if he throw them up closer to the rim. by the end of the regular seaso

That lets you know how great LBJ is. “Keep it moving” — Eddie A Johnson (@Jumpshot8) December 10, 2021 it's amazing how eddie johnson can find people who knows what they are talking about actually rip on lebron. i mean, most of the blame on the lakers' lack of early season success has been piled on westbrook early on and has shifted to tony davis recently.  lebron is a physical specimen and although i'm not his biggest fan, i understand how great he is as a player and i can honestly say that he has not gotten any sort of blame for the lakers' season so far. so i'm not sure where eddie is coming from here. also, timmy won a chip as a major contributor at 36...against a stacked lebron team at that.
